Many condemn attack on MO

Ukhrul, October 15 2011:
Condemnations over the attack on the Medical Officer of Ukhrul on October 1'0 at his quarters by unidentified gunmen continue to pour in with the Directorate of Health Services appealing to all to make hospital a free zone and urged the authority concerned to arrest the culprit at the earliest possible.
In a statement, the doctors and staff of the Health Directorate including the Director, S Ibomcha Singh said that the attack on the MO of Ukhrul Dr C Nelson Luikham was unfortunate and appealed and appealed to all to make the hospital a free zone.
The staff also demanded the arrest of the culprit.
Joining condemnations, Ramthar Society, Ukhrul has also come out strongly against the life attempt on the MO.
Ramthar Society Chairman Kh Arun Kumar Singh said that the society urged all to give peace a chance.
Numerous Tangkhul organizations comprising TNL, TKS, TMNL, and TSL have also strongly condemned the attack on the doctor.
The organisations have also appealed for the rollback of the cease work strike called by the medical staff and association of the UDH in the larger interest of the poor patients.
It further asked the perpetrators not to repeat such dastardly act in the coming future in the interest of peace.
