Concerned over the problem of lack of adequate teachers in Government schools and the manner of functioning Board of Secondary Education, Manipur (BSEM), All India Students Federation (AISF), Manipur State Council has urged the Chief Minister for filling up the vacant post of the teachers and appointment of full-fledged Chairman and Secretary of the Board.
In a memorandum submitted to the Chief Minister, secretary of the student body Kh Inaobi Meetei maintained that filling up the vacant post of teachers in various Government schools by conducting viva voce of Primary teachers, Hindi Primary teachers and Hindi Graduate Teachers, the results of the written examination of which have been announced long ago would help in solving the problem of lack of adequate teachers being faced by the students of Government schools.
In view of the important role of the Board not just as an educational body for promotion of education in the State but also as a recruitment body of teachers and publisher of the text books, the student body emphasised on appointment of full-fledged Chairman and Secretary of the Board in accordance to the laid down RRs at the earliest possible.
