The 48-Mao Fair Price Shop Agents have decried the non-release of AAY and BPL food grains for the months of January and February 2008 as well as for the months of January to August 2009 for Mao Assembly constituency despite having deposited the full amount in advance.
Even as E Pishak Singh representing FCS Department issued an undertaking on March 7 this year to issue 388 quintals of AAY and BPL food grains on or before March 20 followed by another undertaking by AD, FCS Senapati Sosou Puni on March 9 to issue the same quantity of food grains on or before March 20, no necessary action has been initiated till date despite repeated appeals from 48-Mao FPS agents, decried the agents in press release.
Even the NPO and the SDSA have also directed the concerned to release the allotted quantity of food grain on or before July 16 last but to no avail.
In case no action is forthcoming within September 18, the FPS agents will approach the Vigilance Department to do justice.
The agents also appealed the FCS Department to look into the matter of non-release of AAY and BPL food grains since January to August 2009 in respect of Mao A/C.In another press release, the 49-Tadubi A/C Fair Price Shop Agents have also decried the non-release of AAY and BPL rice for the months of January and February 2009 for 32 villages and also for the months of March to August for 52 villages in respect of 49-Tadubi A/C despite having deposited the full amount of money at the Department of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Senapati.
The Tadubi agents asked the authority concerned to release the allotted AAY and BPL rice on or before September 16.
