Fifty-nine striking employees out of 65 detained by the police yesterday after the failed talk with the Chief Minister have been taken 15 days judicial remand after producing in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Imphal today.
The 65 striking employees under the JAC of AMTUC and AMGEO detained by the police were produced in the court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Imphal, BK Sharma this afternoon.
The court released seven of them on health ground and personal bond while 59 of them remanded in the judicial custody.
Even though court ordered to send them in jail, police could do so today as the timing for sending them to the court ended when the order was issued.
They will be sent to jail tomorrow, police said.
Mention may be made that the striking employees demanding in toto implementation of the Central 6th revised pay were rounded up by the police after they come out from failed talk with the Chief Minister, O Ibobi.
Two of the employees were among those arrested earlier by the police.
Police registered an FIR case under section 149/150/151/186/353/427/511/506 and under section 7 of Criminal Law Amendment Act against them.
Among the charges against them it includes forcing stopping discharging of duty to others.
