Along with taking up necessary measures to ensure monitoring and prompt response to the cases filed against the Government in the Supreme Court and the High Courts by the respective Administrative Secretaries of the Departments concerned, the State Government has decided to introduce a file tracking system to expedite administrative process.
An official source conveyed that a joint meeting of the Administrative Secretaries was held on September 7 with Chief Secretary DS Poonia in the chair and it decided to entrust the Administrative Secretaries to monitor cases filed against the Government and the Supreme Court and High Courts and ensure timely response to such cases, particularly contempt cases.
The meeting also decided to introduce a file tracking system in consultation with NIC to ensure speedy file process and avoid misplacement.
Accordingly, the Science & Technology and Information Technology Department would be sanctioned the required fund to the NIC.
Taking serious note of the prevailing law and order situation in the State, the meeting further decided provide special security arrangement for all the Government offices and vehicles apart from alerting all the heads of departments and nodal officers by their higher officers in this regard.
In connection with the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, the meeting decided to hand over the fund sanctioned under the scheme directly to the Village Education Committee concerned so as to avoid falling into wrong hands as well as to set up 135 computer laboratories, 15 in each district, for promotion of IT education in the State, the source added.
