Imphal, May 09 2009:
Alleging that Thoubal Additional SP constantly harass employees of M/s Th Sorojini Devi Filling Station of Khangabok Canal, people of the area constituted a JAC at a public meeting held today and decided to launch agitation if the police officer persist with his undesired conduct.
The meeting also asked to retract unfounded allegation levelled against husband of the owner of the oil station, Th Jadumani.
The meeting further resolved to prevail upon the Chief Minister to transfer the Additional SP from Thoubal warning that the JAC would launch agitation if the demands are not fulfilled.

Pump Supervisor Moirangthem Rameshwor, who is also a relative of Jadumani said that a police team led by Thoubal police station's Second O/C came in the morning of May 7 and insisted shut-down of the fuel station.
As the staff of the oil station refused to comply, the Additional SP arrived at the scene and allegedly forced shut-down and took snaps of the station, Rameshwor added.
As the allegations levelled against Jadumani, who is the husband of the owner of the oil station are baseless, the station remained open after the police officer left the scene, he said.
The Additional SP's accusations, Rameshwor said, suggest that the oil station is being run with the financial aid of one Suresh Bhaiya of the proscribed PLA, and it must be forfeited to the State Government under Unlawful Prevention Amendment Act 2004 .
The owner of the oil station has lodged an application with the Gauhati High Court saying that the allegation is false, Rameshwor said and added that the hearing for the said application is due for the coming Monday.
Rameshwor further said that the Additional SP also filed his report that the oil station has been put the shutters down since past three months.
He also said the report is totally wrong and it can be confirmed from the records of IOC.
Rameshwor further alleged that the Additional SP gathered bogus evidence with fake signatures of himself (Rameshwor) and the accountant of the station, Phijam Shyamkesho, who also happens to be a son-in-law of Jadumani.
