Imphal, October 05 2009:
Two youths who came to extort money from the people in the name of an unknown armed organisation have been rounded up by the local people of Nongmeibung who later handed them over to the police.
The youths were carrying demand notes of the United Ching-Tam Revolutionary People's Army, a hitherto unknown organisation.
The two were coming to deliver a demand note of Rs 3 lakhs to Dr RK Rajbihari when they were rounded up by the local people at about 10 am today.
The two extortionists were later handed over to a team of Porompat Police who came there.
One motorcycle (Hero Honda CBZ) rode by the youths has also been seized by police.
