Expressing keen desire to restore ancient monuments while developing Kangla Fort United Committee Manipur called upon every section of the Manipuri society to contribute their mite towards the endeavour.
Recalling of the glorious past of the erstwhile independent Manipur with Kangla as the nerve centre of administrative activities UCM suggested that restoration works planned by the Kangla Fort Board should incorporate all aspects that could be of equal interest to all the communities living in the State.
Appealing to individual and groups alike to extend all possible cooperation to the department concerned involved in the Kangla development work UCM insisted that department officials include all features that reflects the multi-ethnic society of Manipur.
UCM further cautioned contractors to complete the work in a proper manner while asking groups concerned against demanding percentage keeping in mind that the Kangla restoration/preservation project is a cherished dream of the State people.
