Manuscripts should be preserved for future: VC

A seminar on Public Library was held at the Senate Hall of MU today jointly organized by the Ministry of Culture, Raja Ram Mohan Roy Library Foundation, Kolkatta, Department of Art and Culture, GoM and Manipur Library Association (MALA) .
Speaking as the chief guest at the inaugural function, Professor HNK Sharma, Vice Chairman of Manipur University said that Library movement should be strengthen in the state and the manuscripts should be preserved for the future generations.
RK Nimai, Commissioner, Art and Culture, GoM, giving the presidential speech said that support from all concern NGOs is needed to strengthen the growth of Library movement in the state.
All types of books which could be interesting should be kept in the library.
He further appeals to all concern to increase book reading habits.
