Tears of joy filled the eyes of the gatherings who were present at the felicitation and reception function of Baby Yumkhaibam Neha - who grasped two gold medals in the recently concluded 16th National Level Thang-ta Competition - today at Chingu Moirang Thangjing Temple complex, Moirang.
Draped with bouquet of garlands, the nine-year old Baby Yumkhaibam Neha has, in a gesture to credit her achievement, garnished her coach 'Oja' Rajen with her gold medals.
The gesture of the nine year old national level gold medalist has impelled the gatherings to wipe the tears of joy silently.

Yumkhaibam Neha, the only child of her parents, Yumkhaibam Kame and Y (O) Bembem of Moirang Lamkhai in Bishnupur district, has helped the state contingent emerged as the overall winner in the 16th National Level Thang-ta Competition, held at Gupta Nagar Ram Hall in Rajasthan from September 30 to October 3 .
Fifteen players from the state had participated in the competition.
Twenty states of the country had registered participation in the competition.
The state team snatched a total of 12 gold medals, two silver medals and a bronze medal in the competition.
Baby Neha won gold in 'Cheibi' and 'Thangi Leiteng' competitions.
Staff and students of Diligent Public School, Moirang - where Neha studies, members of Kege Moirang Apunba Lup, and well-wishers of Neha have gave a rousing reception today at Moirang.
Speaking on the occasion, baby Neha, with curiosity in her eyes, has attributed her achievement to her teachers and showed her honour by strapping her gold medals round the neck of 'Oja' Rajen.
Neha's mother, Bembem said her daughter has developed the liking of art forms since her infant days.
She hopes that her daughter may bring laurel someday given her enthusiasm in art forms.
The mother said, all out efforts will be made to help her achieves whatever is possible.
Y Kame also guaranteed that every effort will be made to nurture the talents of her daughter.
Neha has also created a niche for her in the field of dance.
She had won several awards in recognition of her talents and skills in dancing.
She has also acted in films.
