State works Minister, K Ranjit who inspected the condition of the Guwahati High Court today assured of improving the conditions by providing all the required infrastructures.
During the inspection, the minister inspected the extension rooms of the All Manipur High Court Bar Association office, Young Lawyers room and Ladies Bar Room and assured of installation of air condition system in the said rooms.
He also instructed officials of the state PWD to look into the matter of repairing of old buildings.
Speaking to reporters, works minister, Ranjit terming the court building as one of the respectable places expressed shame on seeing the present condition of the high court in Imphal.
Despite the deteriorating condition, none of the advocate working in this court ever complaint of it.
He was coming there only after AG, Koteshwor along with members of the Bar Association urged for repairing the building.
He said, a parking place will be develop inside the complex to relief the problem of not having the same apart from black topping the paths inside the complex.
He further informed that the new high court building at Sangakpham is targeting to complete by December of this year.
If not meeting the targeted achievement, it will be completed by March, 2010 .
President of the Guwahati High Court Association, Lamabam Shyamkishore said, the minister paid the visit following request from the association.
Office bearers of the earlier term did not efforted to repair the deteriorating condition buildings in the court complex.
