Officials concerned verified the documents of applicants applying for appointment under die-in-harness scheme in the Education Department for the valley districts.
Education Minister L Jayentakumar, who inspected the progress of the meeting today, said that there is a standing order of the government to reserve 5% of vacant jobs under die-in-harness scheme.
According to the order, the applicants whose applications are now processed at the Secretariat would be given preference.
