Surpassing all previous records, students of Sainik School, Imphal have excelled themselves in the All India Senior School Certificate Examination (class XII), 2004 conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi.
All the 65 students who appeared in the examination passed in first division with 51 of them scoring above 75 percent marks and seven other scoring above 90 percent marks in aggregate.
All the 65 students got distinction in Biology, 53 of them in Chemistry, 46 of them in Mathematics, 35 of them in English and 37 others in Physics.
Among the individual performances, Thokchom Birjitkumar Singh and Singam Jeevan Singh, both belonging to Manipur State were joint school toppers with each scoring 91.4 percent marks, Robert Lalnunnema Darlong of Mizoram secured third position with 90.8 percent marks and Md Noorshafi and Thongam Shikander, both from Manipur, found an honored place in the IVth and Vth position securing 90.6 percent and 90.4 percent marks respectively.
