Jiri, June 26 2009:
At least three Dimasas were killed while ten were injured when a Dimasa village, Digar, under Maibang police of North Cachar Hills in Assam was attacked by a suspected armed group of Citizens' Rights Protection Volunteers at around 6 pm yesterday.
During the attack at least 125 houses belonging to the Dimasa tribe were reportedly set ablaze by the attackers.
Identities of the slain and injured persons are yet to be ascertained till the time of filing this report today evening.
Additional forces have rushed to the village to control the situation.
