Functioning of Moreh 33 KV Power Sub-Station has been seriously impaired due to lack of staff and other infrastructural requirements.
When a media team visited the power station, only one lineman was found.
According to the lineman identified as W Lokhon, the Government had issued an order appointing one SO and six linemen but none of them with exception to him, have been coming to the power station.
There is also no chowkidar of the power station, he added.
In connection with infrastructural requirements, he pointed out that there is no fire extinguisher and telephone facility at the power station.
Moreover, the power station has been facing the problem of lack of water after the pipeline had been swept away in the strong water current of Khujairok river, Lokhon informed.
He added that jungle cutting of the road from Moreh to Pallel is also essential as the branches of the trees have been tangled the power line installed along the route.
