Imphal, March 21:
Reminding that the general assembly of the proscribed PULF which is also its supreme authority had asked Azad and his family to pay back all the money he had usurped to the new chairman, the outfit has issued stern warning to all concerned not to extend any kind of support or provide shelter to Azad and his brothers.
Any body defying the warning would be given death penalty without any further warning.
In a statement signed by its publicity secretary Md Belan Khan, the outfit disclosed that Azad instead of obliging to the resolutions adopted by the party's general assembly has been issuing threats to some cadres and warning them to come to Dimapur or else face death.
The outfit's organisation secretary Roshan Abbas asked Azad whether killing of innocent people and amassing wealth for the family his foremost 'revolutionary objectives'.
Rather than making any clarification on his own foul play pointed out by the general assembly, Azad has been issuing misleading press statements in his attempt to continue harassing people, Roshan asserted.
He further asked Azad as to why the mandatory general assembly was not convened for the last 13 years.
How many pages does the party's rules and regulations contain? Who are the party leaders that signed on the party's RR? he asked.
What was the motive behind Azad holding the post of both chairman and finance secretary and making his own brother army chief while other leaders were kept just as by-stander? questioned Roshan Abbas.
The people of Manipur, particularly the Muslim community have been bearing all these irregularities within the party under the leadership of Azad for a such a long time, he noted while claiming that the recent move to overhaul the outfit's set up was a result of people's own initiative.
Reacting to the warning of Azad to surrender, Roshan asked whether PULF cadres who have been strictly following the principles of the party would give in to a renegade like Azad.
All the false propaganda would not serve any purpose as the people are well aware of the true identity of Azad, he said.
Clarifying that there is no question of factionalism within PULF, he said that it was only replacement of corrupt leader.
As for the PULF cadres shown through media, he alleged that the photo session was organised by four money hungry individuals including two Police Constables.
Disclosing that their identities along with the list of anti-people and anti-party activities perpetrated by them posing as PULF cadres would be published shortly, Roshan ridiculed the act of Azad publishing photograph of just 15 cadres out of 150 total PULF cadres.
Reacting to the allegation of Azad that some PULF cadres helped ex-MLA Abdul Salam in the 9th Assembly elections, Roshan Abbas clarified that the party has no relation whatsoever with Abdul Salam nor did the party help the ex-MLA under any circumstance.
On the other hand, it has been confirmed that Azad and one Fajul Rahim killed one Alimmudin for not giving vote to a particular candidate, he alleged.
No one should help and give shelter to Azad and his family, reiterated PULF.
