Imphal, December 02 2011:
With all the roads and bridges where the cavalcade of Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi is set to cover freshly re-painted and decorated with colourful flags, Imphal is ready to roll out the red carpet to the visiting high profile leaders.
Ahead of the Prime Minister's visit, DoNER Minister Pawan Singh Ghatowar arrived here today and held separate meetings with the Governor and the Chief Minister.
Starting from the airport, all the roads leading to Palace Compound, Khuman Lampak, Chingmeirong and Kangla have been swept clean in addition to hoisting colourful flags all along these roads.
Though it is not the usual scene, Imphal city looks like a clean and tidy city as of now.
Moreover, security forces have been deployed all along the roads so as to ward off any untoward incident or disturbance during the Prime Minister's and UPA Chairperson's visit.
