Imphal, April 18: Underground outfit, United National Liberation Front (UNLF) has clarified that it was not involved in the grenade blast at Ganeshguri in the capital city of Assam.

The reported remarks of the Guwahati City Police SP Hiren Chandra Nath carried in some section of the Assamese press yesterday, indicating the likely involvement of UNLF and as being often hired by the ULFA is mischievous, baseless, irresponsible and intended to malign the fraternal relationship between the two outfits apart from tarnishing the image of UNLF in the eyes of the people of Assam, assistant publicity secretary of the outfit said in a statement today.
