Kohima, April 18:
If the election affidavit of one Naga candidate for the forth coming Lok Sabha elections is to be believed then Nagaland's Labour Party candidate is the richest candidate in the whole of India.
Based on a daily report Newmai News Network has confirmed that Labour Party candidate N Nyimthungo Lotha has declared in his affidavit to the election office that he has assets of moveable and immovable properties worth Rs 9005 crores (nine thousand and five crores rupees).
N Lotha said in his affidavit that his 15 squares km, non-agricultural plot in Humtso village in Nagalands Wokha district is worth Rs 9000 crores at market value and another land asset of five-hectares owned by him cost Rs 5 crores at market value.
N Lotha who has founded the Labour Party on April 3 this year is a former officer of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research and is only 41 years old.
If the claimed of the candidate about his wealth is true then the Naga candidate will be among the richest in India, if not in the world.
