Imphal, August 06 2009:
All Manipur Youth Protection Committee (AMYPCO) has announced to launch various agitations in collaboration with hill-based organisations against the Chief Minister's 'deceptive' statement saying that six personnel will be placed under suspension and judicial inquiry will be instituted into the Khwairamband incident of July 23 .
Addressing media persons today, president of AMYPCO Boboi Sairemcha said many people have been killed in fake encounters.
But evidence has been produced in the case of Khwairamband incident of July 23 .
He said, even as several JACs have been formed against extrajudicial killings and fake encounter killings, the SPF government continue to follow the trend of killing by announcing rewards for the police commandos.
He alleged that the government has been giving free hands to the commandos.
Boboi also observed that the peoples' agitations will not die down by arresting Apunba Lup leaders and imposing curfew.
If CM O Ibobi cannot feel the pulse of the people he has no legality to retain his post.
AMYPCO president then cautioned to launch intense agitation in collaboration with hill-based organisations against the deceptive measures of the
government.
