Imphal, March 29 2010: Stories of innocent young women falling prey into the hands of treacherous and exploitative lovers never end.

Here is yet another story of how an innocent Meetei girl got easily deceived, used and tortured by a man who she took as a lover and husband.

The Manipur Students Association Delhi (MSAD) has sent this story from Delhi.

Makak Mayum Shafikul Haque, Academic and Magazine Secretary, MSAD said in a press release that Wangkheimayum Dimple Chanu (30), daughter of W Joy, of Kha Naorem Leikai, Canchipur and Khwairakpam Amitap Singh (28), son of Late Kh Angangjao Singh, of Sekmai Bazar, near cinema hall, working as Airman at Subroto Park, New Delhi, rank-Corporal, post-Radio Telephonic Operator (DTO), ID No.767136, entered into court marriage on June 5, 2009 .

They came together to Delhi.

They were staying together as husband and wife at House No.410 at Munirka, Delhi.

Soon Amitap suddenly started showing signs to Dimple that he had been having marital relationship with a woman identified as one Babita @ Pinky from Jharkhand for the past six years.

Then, Amitap took a room on rent where he stayed together with Babita most of the time.

Since October 2009, Amitap and Babita had been torturing, beating and illtreating W Dimple.

Even in front of other people, both Amitap and Babita kicked and punched Dimple, and snatched things from her, MSAD said quoting eye-witnesses.

Not only that, they threatened to kill her and said that anyone who gives Dimple shelter would not be let go scotfree.

As a result, W Dimple at present is hiding at her friends' place, the MSAD revealed and drew the attention of authorities concerned to look into the matter.

The press release of the MSAD cautioned the parents and guardians of Manipur to take care of their sons and daughters, and not allow to make them fall in such immoral character.

It also appealed to the people not to simply get carried away by talks through mobile phones or chatting on internet to fall in love and get married without checking the backgrounds of the persons concerned .
