Pay structures of the employees under the sixth revised pay which state government has ordered to start payment effective from April next will be discussed for finalization by the Cabinet meeting scheduled to hold tomorrow at the Cabinet room of the Chief Minister's Secretariat.
An official source said that a meeting under the chair of the state Chief Secretary DS Poonia held at the conference hall of the Old Secretariat building has discussed the pay structures to be given to the employees of the Manipur government.
The meeting started at 3 pm and went on till 4.30 pm.
What transpired in the meeting which officials of the Pay Implementation Cell of the state finance department also attended could not be ascertained officially but highly reliable source said that a board detail of the pay structures have been chalked out by the meeting for tabling in the Cabinet meeting.
The source said that even though state government has agreed to start payment of revised sixth pay bands recommended by the Sixth Pay Commission, Pay Implementation Cell is yet to finalise the pay bands to be given to its employees as government is not provided the amounts to be added in the present pay structures.
On the other hand, the Cabinet meeting to be held under the chair of the Chief Minister, O Ibobi is likely to transect nine agendas of the government.
However, among the agenda there was any agenda related with the pay of the employees.
The Cabinet will discussed on the transferred of Central Dairy firm to the Manipur Milk Producers Co-operative Union Limited, a matter which government has been on long consideration for privatization of the firm.
The Cabinet is likely to give nod on signing a memorandum of understanding between the state veterinary department and the Manipur Milk Producers Co-operative Union, the source maintained.
Establishment of Chief Judicial Magistrate of Imphal east and re-designation Chief Judicial Magistrate, Imphal at Uripok Cheirap Court complex as Chief Judicial Magistrate, Imphal west and Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Imphal at Lamphel as Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Imphal west will also be discussed by the Cabinet, the source added.
Other agendas were related with the filling of vacant posts in various departments of the state government on contract basis, the source maintained.
