Imphal, September 15, 2009:
Taking serious note of the closure of some private schools in response to calls by certain students organisations, the State Government has warned that any private school that remains closed, except on notified holidays, would be liable to strict action leading to even cancellation of their affiliation/recognition.
A press release issued by Commissioner (Education) PK Singh surprise inspection would be carried out by squads constituted specifically for this purpose.
All Government schools are open and any absenteeism by teachers without approved leave on valid grounds would invite strict disciplinary action, it said.
Claiming that the Government has ensured adequate security so that no one is prevented from attending school, it asked parents to send their children to their respective schools.
Any problem faced in this regard may be brought to the notice of the concerned district Superintendent of Police, it added.
