Even as members of the bereaved families, the Apunba Lup and the JAC constituted connection with the brutal murder of SDO Kasom Khullen Dr Thingnam Kishan, Revenue Mondal Y Token and Driver A Rajen have a meeting with the CM, no agreement could be reached between the two sides on any point.
A memorandum containing 7 points based on the resolutions adopted during a public meeting held earlier today at Yumnam Leikai was also submitted to the Chief Minister.
Although the Apunba Lup and JAC insisted on taking up criminal proceedings against the suspended Ukhrul Pankaj Kumar Pal and to punish him, CM O Ibobi maintained that necessary actions will be initiated against the suspended DC only after conducting a proper enquiry.
The Chief Minister also conceded that the State Government is still in the dark about the whereabouts of the three missing employees abducted together with Dr Kishan and his staff, conveyed one individual who took part in the meeting with the Chief Minister.
However, he exuded that the Government may take up some concrete actions to build a monument in memory of the victims at a proper place.
Whether the corpses of the victims would be claimed or not would not be decided by the JAC or the Apunba Lup.
It will depend on the decision of the families, he said.
