Naga Independent MP and MLAs of Manipur have expressed shock and grief over the brutal killing of Dr Thingnam Kishan, MCS and SDO of Kasom Khullen and his two staff, Aribam Rajen and Yumnam Loken by unidentified assailants.
In a joint statement, MP of Outer Manipur Parliamentary Constituency Mani Charenamei, MLA of Chingai A/C Dr Khashim Ruivah, MLA of Mao A/C M Thohrii, MLA of Phungyar A/C W Keishing, MLA of Tengnoupal A/C M Makunga, MLA of Tamei A/C N Awangbow, MLA of Tamenglong A/C Khangthuanang Panmei, MLA of Ukhrul A/C Danny Shaizah and MLA of Tadubi A/C K Raina condemned he dastardly act of the assailants in very strong terms and said that it was indeed an act of shame and violation of human rights in the highest degree.
No living person in this world can justify such killings of harmless civil officer while on duty with his staff without any reason, the joint statement said, while appealing to all communities of the State to maintain peace and harmony in the State.
The joint statement also urged the State Government to be more sensitive to the fast deteriorating law and order situation in he State where killing of innocent people has become a daily phenomenon and leave no stone unturned in finding out the assailants.
The Naga MP and MLAs have also conveyed their deepest condolences to all the bereaved families and prayed that God will grant them strength and courage to overcome the shock and grief which have befallen on the families.
