Imphal, October 29:
Frustrated over the dilly-dallying tactics of the state govt over the filling up of vacant posts of teachers in hill areas, the All Tribal Students Union, Manipur (ATSUM) has strongly reiterated today to clear all the appointment cases of teachers.
The DPC results of 1997 and 1999 had not been declared and as such the legal entanglement already had negative impacts on educational atmosphere in the hill districts, according to ATSUM.
The students' body informed NNN that DPC for the graduate Hindi teachers' posts was conducted in the year 2000 and the result had already been declared but the appointment process of the teachers is yet to be initiated by the state government.
ATSUM said all these factors had created a mess for which the state govt is responsible.
It further urged the govt to do away with such practices immediately so as to avoid chaos and problems in the fresh recruitment of teachers in future.
The ATSUM also demanded that all the appointments be made through proper DPC according to Recuitment Rules of the government.
