Imphal, October 27 2009:
District Consumer Redressal Forum has decreed that Tiddim Road Athletic Union (TRAU) must pay Rs 50, 000 to a complainant.
Ksh Saratchandra Singh of Haobam Marak Lourembam Leikai filed a complaint against the union at Consumers' Club Manipur saying the amount of first prize (Rs 1,50,000) was not paid to him even though he had won the first prize of TRAU lottery held on March 27 last.
The matter could not be resolved although Consumers' Club summoned the executives of TRAU and talked over the matter twice.
The club later lodged a case at the forum and the forum in turn decreed to pay Rs 50, 000 in favour of Saratchandra.
