Jiribam, June 20 2010:
The Zeliangrong Students' Union, barak valley has applauded the act of good samaritan of the personnel of 172 Bn CRPF posted at Shanti Khunou and Sibilong areas of national highway No 53 for providing food to the stranded travellers since many days back, reports our correspondent.
the Union also expressed hope that personnel of the CRPF unit would sustain the humane act in the future.
Meanwhile, vehicular movement along NH-53 has been disrupted today when a goods laden truck heading to Imphal from Jiribam got stuck in the middle of the highway near Shanti khunou, which is about 10 kms from Barak.
Dozens of vehicles have been stranded on either side of the highway after the said truck got stuck.
