State Achievement Survey conducted

Education(S) has conducted State Achievement Survey 2018-19 today covering a total of 621 schools (Government and Government aided schools) and45,000 students of Class I to VIII.
Speaking to media persons at the office of the Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BOSEM), Director Education(S) Th Kirankumar said that the survey was conducted in all the districts to identify the learning gaps of the students (Class I to VIII) in different subjects at different grade level based on the learning outcome.
The survey aims at studying the difference in achievement with respect to location/area, gender and social groups.
The finding of the survey will be related to track the learning levels and will be used in planning for improvement of learning gaps of the students at different level, he said.
SCERT developed all the test materials of the SAS.
SAS is based on the norms of NCERT, National Acheivement Survey 2017 .
Single booklet and OMR sheets were used to conduct the assessment, he said.
