Following an understanding reached between the Chief Minister and representatives of "JAC against Extra Judicial and Stage Managed Killing of K Bimol Moirang" today, the body of Bimol would be taken back by family members after post mortem tomorrow.
Mention may be made here that Bimol was gunned down by police commandos at Nappet Pali on December 29.The agreement was reached after the Chief Minister in a meeting with JAC representatives today agreed to conduct a judicial inquiry and punish the commando personnel if found guilty.
The meeting was attended by Th Devendra, Phunzathang Tonsing, Govindas Konthoujam, L Nandakumar and Chief Secretary Jarnail Singh, Addl DGP Y Joykumar and Imphal East SP from the Govt side.
Talking to media persons, JAC's Chairman K Shyam said that Chief Minister O Ibobi besides assuring to issue an order for conducting the judicial inquiry tomorrow has also given the permission for using two video cameras during post mortem on Bimols' body tomorrow.
Shyam also warned of launching various forms of agitation if the Govt fails to complete the judicial inquiry within a month or fails to fulfil the demands of the JAC.
