Imphal, January 02:
Accusing the security force of letting loose a reign of terror in the interior parts of CCpur, ever since the launching of Operation All Clear sometime from October last year, the UNLF said that the time has come to unmask the real face of the Indian army before the world.
Speaking to newsmen somewhere at CCpur, a spokesman of the outfit said that the security force has debarred the villagers from transporting goods and even life saving drugs into the villages and subjected the villagers to forced labour.
The spokesman further said that the villagers are being used as human shields by the security personnel even during their normal road patrol exercise and added that they (security force) board civilian vehicles and force civilian vehicles to travel before their convoy.
This is not all, said the spokesman and accused the security personnel of resorting to indiscriminate bombings of the area, affecting the villagers.
Even the daily lives of the villagers have been greatly affected as the security personnel have resorted to opening up camps inside the villages.
Accusing the security force of defiling places of even worship, the spokesman, said that India may claim to be a secular country but its armed forces have not hesitated in defiling and outraging the sanctity of the Church.
More specifically, the spokesman said that the security personnel have occupied Pangshang village Church and are even keeping the bodies of the killed personnel inside the Church.
Such excesses and insensitivity on the part of the security personnel will not be accepted by the civilised world, added the spokesman.
Reiterating that the UNLF will not yield an inch, the outfit said the time has come for all to join hands in throwing out the intruding security force from the soil of the land.
Claiming that the security force has suffered major set backs ever since they launched Operation All Clear, UNLF said that so far there have been 9 encounters between the invading force and the MPA.
Giving details, the spokesman said that one security personnel was killed in a gun fight near Sotobekra on October 10 while some others were injured.
