THE 49TH ANNUAL conference of the Raphei Katamnao Long (RKL) concluded Wednesday at Phungcham village in Ukhrul district has resolved to give emphasis to education as main agenda during the next year plan of the students body Tangkhul in Manipur.
The annual conference of the student body kicked off on January 14 has concluded with a grand function held yesterday with SDO Paomata sub-division, Luckyson Kushung as chief guest, SDO, Rang Peter, Phungyar sub-division and MDC Ukhrul HL Jain as guest of honours.
While speaking at one of the night session of the conference on January 20 last, RKL and ICHAM advisor, MK Shimray expressed concerned over the diminishing habits, behavours and disciplines among the youths of today's generation among the community which bound with rich culture of respecting each other with well behaviour.
He said even as today's youth got the light of education, they have little respect even to their parents.
He also appealed the students to behave good manner and respect the elder.
As a god gift Tangkhuls are beautiful and have charming physique.
But now the question of whether this god gifts are being in proper way, he said adding that if these gifts are properly culture and use in a true way, life could be a fruitful one.
The conference has been organized with an objective to have interaction among the students and share their opinion in a constructive manner by pending huge funds and time.
So, participants much extract the benefits of it and try to rectify their mistake in pass for not repeating it again, he went to say.

In the peasant contest of the year held on the same night, Ngayamri Luithui of Langdang village crowned the Miss Raphei.
Thanringla Vashum of New Tusom village and Hirawon AS of Huisu village were the first and second runner-up of the contest.
Thanringla Vasum also won the Miss Catwalk in the sub-title category and Ngayamri won the Miss Perfect Ten and Miss Fashion sub-titles.
Contest on various disciplines of games and sport was also part of the conference.
Around 4000 students and youths coming from more than 44 villages from across the state took part in the conference.
