Director of Blue Flyers Academy, Soibam Dean Martin, who is alleged to have deceived five aspiring cabin crew candidates by taking Rs 1.5lakh each, has clarified today that the charges leveled against him by the candidates were false.
Talking to newsmen today at the Manipur Press Club here, S Dean Martin, clarified that he was not absconding as alleged by the candidates few days back.
He said he went to Delhi in connection with a condolence meeting over the demise of a trainee.
Stating that the allegation was an attempt to tarnish his image, he appealed them not to level such charge in future.
On the allegation of Livewell Aviance Training Academy being a bogus academy, Martin clarified that the academy is registered with the Companies Act, 1956 .
He said there has been no instance that the Blue Flyers Academy had taken Rs 1.5lakh fraudulently from any person.
He said the amount taken from the candidates was non-refundable fees including training fee, placement fee, and organisation fee which are deposited to Livewell Training Academy as per an agreement signed with Livewell consultant Dhaneshore.
Martin said the trainees are hurling charges against him to cover up their poor performance in the examination for final selection.
Meanwhile, the five trainees have rejected the clarification of Dean Martin today.
Talking to pressmen right after the press meet at Press Club, the trainees have addressed the media at the residence of Athokpam Cyril, one of the 'deceived' candidates, located at Thangmeiband Hijam Leikai.
