Imphal, June 15 2010:
Reacting to allegations made by KCP-MC military affairs secretary Lanheiba Meitei which were published on June 8 and 9, deputy chief of the central finance of the same party Ngangom Soviet alias Captain Chingkheinganba has clarified that he was only handling the party's fund like a bank.
Whatever amount spent was used in the works of central security council and for procurement of arms and weapons, said deputy chief of central finance, captain Chingkheinganba alias Soviet.
The allegations raised by Lanheiba was in reaction to Chingkheinganba's proposal to discuss financial matters in annual meeting as members of the Central Security Council (CSC) were unable to assemble together at the moment.
Lanheiba hurled the charges for Chingkheinganba's decision to stop collection of fund from the public until the 'Shillong incident' was properly investigated.
By making such cheap propaganda, Lanheiba was only exposing his failure to abide by the do's and don'ts formulated by the CSC, Chingkheinganba asserted.
There is no binding rule to publish account statements of the party to the public.
Likewise, party's line of action cannot be disclosed to the public even if it is for public because disclosure of the line of actions would mean jeopardising and aborting the intended action, Chingkheinganba pointed out.
Alleging that the surrender of KCP-MC cadres who fled away from military training camps of Bangladesh to GOC 57 Mountain Division Maj Gen DS Hooda on June 9 was staged managed in collusion with Lanheiba Meitei, it accused Lanheiba of having close links with security forces.
This was exposed when Lanheiba Meitei alias Khoirakpam Bojendro alias Khelen alias Jitendra alias Md Fakir came out with details of the surrendered cadres through mass media.
Of the surrendered cadres, eight belonged to Thamnapokpi and Wangoo which are located nearby Keirenphabi Mamang Leikai, the native village of Lanheiba Meitei.
This testified the true character of Lanheiba, Chingkheinganba asserted.
Further, it was learnt that Lanheiba has close relationship with RAW informer Maj Nike of 57 IMP, Masinpur, S-Section, Silchar, SI Manihar and NI Singh.
On learning about this, no one attended the CSC meeting.
Subsequently, Lanheiba and Chingkheinganba stayed separately without any communication.
A fact finding report about activities of Lanheiba would be published soon together with photographs, it added.
It further cautioned all genuine revolutionary cadres to identify the wolf in sheep's clothing and to be watchful of RAW informer Lanheiba Meitei.
