Imphal, December 07 2011:
While accepting that there are many mobile manufacturing units of Heroin (No 4) as stated by NCB Assistant Director Bijoy Sahasani, the proscribed UG group RPF in a press statement alleged that the mobile manufacturing units are set up by the Indian security forces in connivance with some anti social elements.
RPF stated that the Indian security forces had occupied many camps of the revolutionary organisations in remote areas of the state in the past six years and have converted them into mobile manufacturing units of heroin.
It is well known to all that there was no poppy plantation in the remote hill areas of the state when the revolutionary organisations were staying there.
However, poppy plantation has become a common issue since the security forces occupied the camps of the revolutionary organisations, it added.
With the state law and order enforcing agencies barely present in the remote hill areas, the security forces are instigating the hill people to cultivate poppy plants for earning easy money.
There were no poppy cultivations in the remote hill areas till 2007 when these areas used to be the stronghold of revolutionary organisations.
Unfortunately, the situation now has become critical with the possibility of Manipur becoming like the infamous Golden Triangle and Crescent Triangle with poppy plantation spreading in remote Muslim inhabited valley areas of Thoubal district, it stated.
Contd.
It is true that the various mobile manufacturing units come alive in the night and manufacture heroin packets which are supplied or sold at a much cheaper rate on the behest of the Indian security forces with the aim to exterminate the future generation of Manipuris.
The India government knows that it is impossible to suppress the present revolutionary movement in the state by using their might.
The drug warfare being adopted by the India government is to corrode the youth of the state and waiting for the movement to wither away in due course.
Even though the public representatives of the state who got elected after being contractors or by establishing gangs, do not think much for the future of the state, the statement appealed to the people of the state to realise the secret warfare of the Indian security forces to exterminate the Manipuris from its own soil.
It also urged the people to rise against the colonial rule of the India government.
