DR KONGBAM Chandramani, Reader of Department of Physics, Venkateswara College, University of Delhi presented a talk on �'On the Study of Liquid Crystalline Materials using Positron Annihilation Spectroscopy' at the 15th International Conference on Positron Annihilation held from January 18-23 this year at Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics, Kolkata in India.
Thirty two invited talks from different countries were presented at the Conference.
He was among seven physicists of India presented invited talks at the Conference.
Nearly 200 eminent physicists from 28 countries attended the Conference.
The Conference covered a broad arena of positron research field comprising of basic fundamental studies onto various experimental and theoretical pursuits, evolving practical applications in technology and emerging into most advance research topics of the field including biological application.
Dr Chandramani presented invited talks on the topic-'Molecular Dynamics in M18 and EBBA seen by Positron Annihilation Lifetime Spectroscopy' in the 12th International Conference on Positron Annihilation held in Munich, Germany in August 2000 and on the topic-'Positron Lifetime Spectroscopy as a Tool for studying Molecular Motions in n-p-Ethoxybenzylidene-p-Butylaniline' in the 13th Conference held in Kyoto, Japan in September 2003.The next 16th Conference will be held in Bristol, United Kingdom in the year 2012 .
With more than a decade of teaching experience, Dr Chandramani had published several research papers in international journals.
He is the author of -'Basic Physics', a text book on CBSE course structure meant for Class XII of senior Secondary Schools published recently by the PHI Learning Private Ltd., New Delhi a week ago.
He was co-author of 'Physics: A Text Book for Class XII' published by Cambridge University Press in 2007 .
