Seminar on quality education held

A one-day seminar on quality education in Sadar Hills was held today at Motbung CC Hall organised by Motbung Youth Club in collaboration with World Vision India, Sadar Hills ADP.
Delivering the key-note address, L Michael Singh, CDC, World Vision India, Sadar Hills ADP observed that quality of education in Sadar Hills is not upto the mark.
He said, the people should not depend only on government in bringing quality education while calling for the active participation of civil society, NGOs, Church in ushering quality education.
Speaking as the resource person, Dr Tinkhoneng, Lecturer, DIET Chandel district emphasised on the importance of various teaching skills for effective learning process.
Stating that teachers are transformer and agent of change, she urged the teachers to do their best while adding that they should act as a model for their students.
Another resource person, Khuollien Gangte, Lecturer, RK Sanatombi Devi College of Education and State Resource Person, SSA, SMA Manipur stressed on the laps in many areas with teachers and schools.
He said that the teachers, parents and community should work together in order to produce good students.
He focussed on the implementation of RTE in hill areas and also to bring in quality education to every child.
The seminar was attended by around 60 persons from six different schools of Motbung area.
