Law and order reviewed

Law and order situation of Manipur in the post Manipur Legislative Assembly election period was reviewed during a meeting of the Combined Headquarters held today.
The meeting also deliberated on the activities of undergound outfits.
The meeting presided by Chief Minister O Ibobi was attended by Home Minister Gaikhangam, GOC 3 Corps Lt Gen AK Sahni, Principal Secretary (Home), GOC 57 Mountain Division Maj Gen Binoy Poonnen, IG AR (South) Maj Gen UK Gurung, DGP and officials of BSF and CRPF.
In addition to deliberating on the activities of different UG outfits in the aftermath of the Assembly election, the meeting also discussed about NSCN-IM and its activities.
Another agenda of the meeting was security arrangement for the railway track laying work from Jiribam to Tupul.
Activities of militant groups under SoO pact also figured during the review meeting.
