As a part of CADA's campaign against intoxicants, drugs and tobacco items, MAFYF volunteers today seized a large quantity of tobacco items from three shops at Keishampat, informed a press release issued by CADA.
The shops belong to Ramprashad from Bihar, Koijam Pashot (60) and Saranghtem Omor of Keishampat Leimajam Leikai.
As a punishment for selling the tobacco items, the three shops were prohibited from opening for three months.
The seized items were consigned to flames in front of MAFYF office.
In another such drive undertaken by THANIL under CADA at Thangmeiband area, tobacco items were seized from the shop one Khangenbam Memma of Lilashing Khongnangkhong Yumnam Leikai.
Her shop has also been sealed for one month.
Moreover, MAFYF volunteers have also pulled up five SP capsule abusers.
They are identified as Yumnam Kundo (22) of Kwakeithel, Kaiyenpaibam Priyokumar alias Nanao (21), Naoba Oinam (21) of Uripok Yambem Leikai, Thokchom John (21) of Uripok Sinam Leikai and Samurailakpam Seityajit (22) of Uripok Achom Leikai.
