Ukhrul Block Programme Management unit of National Rural Health Mission and PHC Lambui in collaboration with District Health Mission Society Ukhrul organised a one day Reproductive Child Health camp at Litan Sareikhong in Ukhrul district yesterday.
A medical team of 14 para medical staff including lab technicians and nurses led by Dr Felix, Dr Kapangring, Dr Narendra Singh, Dr Ayao Vashum, Dr Ningaima, Dr Machatombi Devi, was pressed into service during the camp which was participated by about 400 people of Litan and its neighbouring villages.
Another team of 13 medical staff and nurses under the aegis of Dr Dineshwor Singh and Dr Pamshang Paul also took part in the day-long camp which was supervised by District Programme Manager Rajev, Ukhrul Block Programme Manager S Wortharla, Ukhrul Block Finance Manager S Songachan, Data Manager Bhagyachandra, Lambui PHC Account Manager Angarit.
Putting up eight medical stalls of different cases like medicines, gynea, ENT, dental, padiatric, ayush, ART, a free medical treatment along with the required medicines was provided, besides conducting X-ray, blood test, stool test etc to all the patients during the camp.
Among the patients, most of whom were women and children, cases of TB, RTI, gastro intestinal infection were found to be prominent.

The Finance Manager Ukhrul Block has expressed gratitude to SDO Ukhrul, CMO/Director DHMs, the village health and sanitation committee, for their invaluable efforts in various capacity towards ensuring the programme a grand success, while informing that similar Reproductive Child Health camp will also be conducted at Hoomi village in Ukhrul district under PHC Somdal tentatively in the month of December this year.
