Ahead of the meeting to finalise the annual State plan size for the fiscal 2005-05 scheduled to be held on December 25 at New Delhi, State Government has reviewed its annual plan expenditure for the year 2004-05 during a meeting presided over by Chief Minister at the conference hall of the CM's Secretariat today.
The Heads of all the Government Departments were present during the meeting.
The meeting mainly discussed releasing of the fund being kept withheld by the Govt due to fluid law and older condition to ensure completion of the related woiks so that the utilisation certificates could be submitted in time.
The meeting felt that if all the fund being withheld for the last 2/3 years are released, there might be an increase in the plan amount of the State for the next fiscal year.
The plan outlay for the fiscal year 2004-05 was fixed at Rs 781.25 crores and the State Government is projecting Rs 710.3822 crores it plan size for the next fiscal year.
The break up of the projected plan outlay include Rs 22.13 crores for Agri and Allied Activities, Rs 56.71 crores for Rural Development, Rs 6 crores for Special Ares Programmes, Rs 10.896 crores for Irrigation and Flood Control, Rs 90.8 crores for Energy, Rs 62.3 crores for Industries and Minerals, Rs 45.37 crores for Transport, Rs 7.35 crores for Science, Technology and Environment, Rs 26.442 crores for social sector like Education, Social Welfare, MAHUD, etc, Rs 27.66 crores for General services like road development besides another Rs 2 crores for National Highway Patrolling Scheme.
The final picture of the State plan size for 2005-06, however, would become clear only after the meeting between the Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh and Deputy Chairman of Planning Commission Ahluwali on December 27.
