Imphal, December 02: Manipur overcame Delhi by seven runs to five to clinch the boys' title of the 19th Junior National Baseball Championship at Cuttack (Orissa) today.

The champion State outscored their rivals in the opening (3-2) and penultimate innings (1-0) of the seven round competition.

Manipur reached the summit round after defeating Madhya Pradesh 11-6.However, girls team failed to make the podium finish after going down to Delhi 0-3 in the third place play-off.

The host State won the girls' title of the championship with a 6-0 defeat of Goa.
