Imphal, October 02 2009: Asserting that Delhi has been patronising Ibobi so that he may continue with State terrorism in Manipur, the Working Committee of the Apunba Lup today said that the Congress leaders at Delhi should realise that the people here have still not forgotten how Kabaw valley was gifted to Myanmar, how the AFSPA was imposed and how Manipur was merged with India.

It is in such a moment, when the people are still trying to cope with the misdeeds of the Congress party, that the Congress leaders at Delhi are continuing to shield Ibobi and added that they should understand the charged atmosphere.

Pledging that the ongoing agitation will continue until and unless the Chief Minister resigns and responsibilities are fixed for the July 23 incident, the Apunba Lup urged the people to continue extending their support, despite the many inconveniences they have to face.

How long will the Congress Government led by Ibobi be able to muffle the voice of the people raised against State terrorism, asked the Apunba Lup.

It is time to say no to State terrorism, or else, the future of the people of Manipur is at stake, said the statement and added that the concept Might is Right, which is being followed by the Ibobi Government, will be defeated.

Urging all not to be disheartened, the Apunba Lup said that the present agitation taken up following the July 23 incident will surely culminate in a victory for the people.

The demands of the Apunba Lup include the resignation of the Chief Minister and fitting punishment of the police commandos and officers responsible for the killing of Th Rabina and Ch Sanjit as well as inflicting bullet injuries on five others.

Till date Delhi has remained indifferent to the voice of the people, raised against State terrorism.

The is because Delhi does not see the people of Manipur as citizens of India, alleged Apunba Lup.

The Congress leaders are Delhi are continuing to protect Ibobi so that he may continue with the pogrom here, it further alleged.

To the SPF Government, its only concern is to remain loyal to Delhi, forgetting about the plight of the people, here, it added.
