Imphal, September 12, 2009:
The full hearing of the one-man Judicial Commission headed by retired Justice PG Agarwal, which is investigating the July 23 Khwairamband Bazar incident would be held on September 21 at Hotel Imphal.
However, so far no affidavit either from the side of the victims' families or the public have been submitted to the Commission.
According to a reliable source, the Commission has fixed September 21 for conducting the hearing of the inquiry into the incident that left two persons killed and five others injured in police firing.
Retired Justice Agarwal would be arriving at Imphal on the same day to conduct the hearing.

The Working Committee of the Apunba Lup which is spearheading the ongoing public movement against the incident and the JACs formed in connection with the killings have announced their respective stand of boycotting the State-sponsored inquiry contending that it is a ploy on the part of the State Government to suppress the public outrage over the conduct of the police commandos involved in the incident.
