Imphal, November 10 2009: The All Manipur Students Guardians' Organisation (AMSGO) today appealed to the schools to conduct class on Sunday and holidays to recoup days lost during the curfew and class boycott stirs in the wake of series of agitation on July 23 shooting incident at Khwairamband Bazar.

A statement of the body signed by its publicity secretary Kh Shamugou dispatched to the media houses also sought the co-operation of the MLAs and political parties in the translation ./of conduct of classes on Sunday and holiday into action.

In the series of agitations in the aftermath of the July 23 Rabina and Sanjit killing incident, students were not able to attain classes in the last around three months.

In the Imphal city area, even though schools remained close, students get the chance of study by going to the private tuition centre.

Specially students to appear in the forth coming Class-X and XII availing the facilities but students residing in the outskirt of Imphal could not avail the facilities.

It is a well known fact one, the guardians body stated observing that students residing in the outskirt of Imphal and far remote areas were the sufferers of the class boycott stir and other stir.

Students of these two Classes, Thanga, Kumbi, Moirang, Ninthoukhong, bishnupur, Oinam, Nambol of Bishnupur district and remote areas of Imphal east and west districts were severely affected the prolong class suspension.

Considering the suffering of the students, the body made the appealed, the statement added seeking co-operation from the local MLAs, political parties as well as local clubs to recoup the lost study days of the students appearing in the forthcoming Class-X and XII and help in saving the life of the students.
