Denouncing the indifferent attitude of the State Govt to the most significant demands of awarding befitting punishments against the killers in accordance to the law of the land and initiating criminal proceeding against the suspended Deputy Commissioner of Ukhrul Pankaj Kumar Pal, the JAC against the brutal killing of Dr Th Kishan, Y Token and A Rajen Sharma has demanded the Govt to take a definite decision in this regard during the ongoing Assembly session.
In a statement, convenor of the JAC S Subhangker said it is high time for the Govt to act with understanding that the wrath and the agitation of the people would only be intensified if it continues to remain indifferent to these rightful demands and the JAC would relentlessly cry for justice with the support of the people.
All the MLAs and the Ministers who seem to currently crazy over the preparation of the forthcoming Lok Sabha election should also remember that the election would not be possible without the support of the people, Subhangker said, adding that the JAC and the people of Manipur are closely monitoring the conduct of the ongoing Assembly session.
