The CPI, one of the coalition partner of the SPF Government, has decided to check the SPF Government going/acting against interest of the people.
The party has also resolved to exert strong pressure on the Government in order maintain transparency and good governance.
In any case of SPF Government acting on their respective parties' interest or on individual whim against the common interest of the people, the CPI and its legislators will fight back in the most befitting manner.
The CPI legislators will not remain silent spectators, informed an official source from the Irabot Bhavan.
The CPI legislators have been permitted to launch an 'inner struggle' by its State Executive meet held after the recent SPF Ministry expansion.
The meeting of the CPI State Executives made serious deliberation on the policies and activities of the SPF Government as well as the unfolding political scenario after the Ministry scenario.
The CPI legislators and officials have been entrusted the responsibility to check the Government from three levels� Council of Ministers, Legislators' Forum and the Steering Committee, so as to maintain transparency and win faith of the people.
The CPI legislators will take the responsibility of ensuring a real people's Government in the State, conveyed the source.
At present, the CPI has Ph Parijat in the Council Ministers, four of its MLAs in the Legislators' Forum and four members in the Steering Committee including Dr M Nara as its convenor.
The coalition partner will support the Government in its policies and programmes aimed at bringing development and installing necessary educational infrastructure in hill areas.
The party will also pay special attention to ensure effective implementation of Cabinet decisions and completion of time bound development projects within the stipulated periods, added the source.
