The Youths : Are You Ready??
By:- Mansingh Nepram *
People say many things about this new crop of people, some called it the Young Kangleichas, some say Alpha Manipuris and rest others have got the idea of calling Gen - X,Y,Z.... I simply called it as 'The Youths'.
The country, India is vibrating in the midst of the world. Taking development in a more frantic speed, they say our country is going to be a fully developed nation by the next two future decades or so. Being an old country, with young and vibrant sons and daughters, mother India is indeed going in the right directions towards every development that is possible in this world.
Everything is changing thick and fast. The economy is buzzing, education sector is burning, games & sports 'India has got an Olympic Gold, human resourcing' Next number after China ..Even old age politicians have started giving ways to its younger counterpart.
It's a real good changed!! We all agree. But the most interesting part between 'the world has changed, India is changing scenario' is -- where are we?? Where do we 'The Youths' stand in front of our counterparts?
Do we have the courage and the intelligence to change our society, do we have the personalities to lead the society or do we have enough resource to compete with rest of the world??
The answers to this questions remains unanswerable in this present world.. We are stuck in a world where our mind and soul are ready to make the changed, which we really require but our body is not willing to participate in bringing that changed.. Everyone wants a changed in our open secret society.
It is seen and heard in every discussions of the youths. Still I don't find any changed neither movement of any sorts from anywhere?? Why is this? (another question remains unanswerable).
Basically the so called 'Gen X,Y,Z' are equipped with many basic essentials of life unlike our ancestors and previous generations. Most of them are educated, can speak fluent language, are not afraid to go outside and mingle with others(my guess).
Many of them have good jobs, financially well maintained, environments is far more better for self improvements compare to yester years.. but still there is lack of 'some things' which is not making the youths of our not able to compete with the others on a different level..
The young generations of Today can take tips from Mr. Rahul Gandhi and his counterparts who are mobilizing the youths to contribute fresh blood in every developmental aspects of India. Wherever we see and hears , the restaurants, the radios, TV's, jobs and other
co-curricular activities such as fashion world or sports activities, its only the youths who making the most noises.
The contrast to this is that we can't see any of our people picking up the pace which others have already done. There are no entrepreneurs, no budding political leaders, no mover and shakers, not even good entertainers then what are we upto??
Are we all here just to see others and to take pride of their achievements, or are we still waiting for some dreams to get over . Sometimes it feels real pity that half of our youths are spending life just to live.
Many feels there is nothing to do in this world, some thinks there cannot be any improvements; rest goes to the extent of drugs and other addict things just to make themselves occupied with something or other. NGO, govts are other many organization's tough stand cant changed the thinking if we ourselves does not try to change also. The world is here for all of us to see.
Blasting oneself with drugs, consumptions of alcohol illegally, breaking traffic rules are not going to bring any development to our former beautiful state. Formal and moral education is what is required now. 'The Youths' should be taught that life is to live gracefully and not by doing b@#$#tt.
The youth's of now has to be reminded that being fashionable in this part of the world is fine but to do it without the development word is seriously sick.
Seeing Manipuri youths doing nothing sometimes makes us feel life is simply very easy but again somewhere down the line I know this is not true. I know many of them have got capabilities and abilities but somewhere they can't or are not using it because of something.
Some (spoil brats) may be an exceptions too but what can you still do to them?? They are wasting their parents money, not ours ?? Youths have started their voices in many forums where various problems have discuss and are discussing but the time of half measure and talks are all but done and dusted since human started living in this world.
Lots will be talked and discussed about in the upcoming generations also so henceforth, there is no use of discussing now. All we need is how the words are put on to actions, to make a difference in this development periods which is existing, to produce a leader like Mr. Rahul Gandhi and Obama, to see the changed that once we believe in and to proved the world that we 'The Youths' have really come of age.
ARE YOU READY??
