Success
Simran Arora *
I walk alone
this long narrow path
it's just me and my shadow.
It's a long journey
witht he road to not end,
where the sky meets land,
is next to my road's end.
forlorn and tired
i have to but travel,
with me and me alnoe
and yes - my outline
the past follows me
evading my present sojourn
the future waits for me
yet the today lingers on.
It's a fight to move on
with shackles of prejudice
leading me astray
from my road my goal.
I can see my target
It never is too far
I'l reach there some day,
of that i'm sure.
i have to win this battle
i will reach the road end
where the sky meets the earth
where'st rises the sun.
Sun beats down like a hammer
rain pours on me
the winds try to uproot me
the darkness tries to blind me..
yet i know i'l win
and reach my lfe goal,
against all odds
nd defying the logic that stands.
success is the sweetest
when you work hard for it
when you know you deserve it
when you reach your road end :)
