Spiral dive
Jiten Huidrom *
Stuck between your head and your heart
In the midddle, all passes by,
Not to follow but find my path,
some knock you down and some keep you upright.
Your lines getting thinner and obscured by others,
Wondering where it leads or if it ends.
Now down the funnel, in a spiral dive,
The winding path and trouble packed
Trying to break free and get on my feet,
Just to realise it doesn't come easy.
Down at the abyss, searching for light.
Dark and damp but no sign of life.
Awaken by a glow of an ember, up high,
Crawling up, to join the fight.
Calculated steps and head for the light,
leaving behind the darkness' cry.
Gripping on to get atop.
Hoping the light will brighten my soul.
Finally the summit under my feet
With migraines and echoes of the spiral dive
Relieved by the warmth and the breeze in your face,
Must find a plain to level my thoughts.
Seeking the balance to stay on feet
And reminding myself of the darkest pit.
